Carchella is coming to Miami this December at the Miami Beach Convention Center. It’s promoted as “One of the biggest Car Shows of the year… Celebrity Cars, Exotic cars, old-school cars, amusement rides, carnival games, monster trucks, and so much more… NASCAR, Jumpees, Basketball games… Family Fun!!!”
However, the folks that run the music festival, “Coachella” aren’t too pleased with the similarity in the two names. So in typical American fashion, they filed suit.
Coachella is claiming DJ Envy, the organizer for the Carchella event, has violated their trademark.
Regardless of the name, the Carchella Miami event is still scheduled to go on as planned this December. We’ll let you know if the name changes.
