Rebirth of an American Hero
Jeep rumbles into the electric era with its much-anticipated new lineup of plug-in hybrid electric 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe SUVs. Mark this date as the beginning of the next generation of an iconic vehicle — with Jeep’s innovative 4xe electrification technology. The result is the greenest and most muscular Grand Cherokee that Jeep ever built. But it’s pricey…the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe starts at an MSRP of $57,700, excluding incentives. That’s about ten grand more than it’s internal combustion older brother.
This is the first-ever electrified Grand Cherokee — with an all-new plug-in hybrid powertrain delivering 25 miles of all-electric range and 56 MPGe. The Grand Cherokee 4xe is equipped with the standard Quadra-Trac II 4×4 system, a surprisingly luxurious interior — and among the most advanced high-tech safety and security features in its class. No doubt, for us the GC’s interior is equal to any SUV in its class. The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe comes in various flavors — the lineup consists of: 4xe, Trailhawk 4xe, Overland 4xe and Summit 4xe – and one package: Summit Reserve 4xe.
“The all-new PHEV Grand Cherokee 4xe, along with the first ever three-row Grand Cherokee L and all-new two-row Grand Cherokee, represent the best Grand Cherokee lineup ever,” said Jim Morrison, vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. “Now with electrified 4xe technology, the Grand Cherokee further strengthens the Jeep brand’s vision of ‘Zero Emission Freedom.'”
