Miami auto tag agency clerk arrested in $3.3 million title fraud scheme. Katherine M. Vera Moran, 27, faces 18 counts each of title fraud and official misconduct. Investigation revealed her involvement after a chop shop bust recovered stolen vehicles.
She manipulated VINs and forged titles, receiving extra cash for each transaction. Approximately 18 vehicles were recovered or identified with altered VINs, totaling $3,385,000. Moran’s bond was set at $50,000 after her court appearance.
