This CCX has a wonderful story, one we were able to explore in-depth when we were commissioned last year to produce an extensive report on its history.
This CCX was delivered in 2007 to a collector in Nevada who was flush with cash after the dot-com bubble. He kept the car for about a year before it was offered for sale. Over the next three years, this CCX bounced between dealerships across three different states until it sold in 2011 with just under 300 miles.
From 2011 to 2017, the car was based in Florida. Then, it sold to a gentleman with a tremendous car collection in Michigan, who retained this CCX for six years until 2023. Since 2023, it has been with its current owner in Rhode Island.
Painted in Storm Black and contrasted with a silver rear clasp, chassis 7046 is a timeless specification. It has a carbon fibre front splitter, side skirts, and diffuser, as well as a Top Gear-style rear wing. It sits on nine-spoke magnesium wheels, offering weight savings over other wheels offered by Koenigsegg at the time. The interior is black leather and black alcantara. The car has a six-speed manual transmission and a 4.7L twin-supercharged V8 engine producing 806 horsepower.
With just 360 miles on the odometer, this is the lowest-mileage example in the United States and likely the second-lowest in the world. How much is it worth? About $3.2 million to $3.4 million.
