WHAT MAKES THIS CANADIAN-MADE CAR UNIQUE AND LOW-PRODUCTION?
– In 1965 there was a combined total of 9,645 2-door Hard Top Marauder Montclair Fastbacks built for the North American market (USA & Canada).
– Only +/- 600 Marauders were built at the Oakville Ontario Canada plant, all equipped with the 352 FE/FT
Marauder Big-block V8 and exclusively sold to the small Canadian market.
HISTORY:
Built the week of March 1st – March 6th, 1965
Assembly Plant – Ford Motor Company of Canada, Oakville, Ontario
In 1965, Owner #1 purchased new at a Mercury Dealership in the city of Regina, Saskatchewan
In 2004, Owner #2 purchased and relocated the car to the Vancouver area of British Columbia
In 2021, Owner #3 purchased and relocated the car to Edmonton, Alberta
In October 2023, purchased and imported into the USA (Oklahoma)
At 68,000 Miles:
– The powertrain was rebuilt. (352 V8, 2Bbl, 3-Speed Auto, and 3:00:1 Differential)
– U-Joints were replaced and the driveshaft balanced
– 2” Dual Exhaust system replaced
– Replaced Wheel Bearings, Cups, Cones & Sleeves
At 71,000 Miles – The Interior upholstery was partially redone
At 73,000 Miles:
– The brakes were totally rebuilt – new drums, pads, cylinders, and booster
– Monroe Shocks and Struts 58263 Shock Absorber and Coil Spring Assembly installed on the Front
– Monroe Shocks and Struts 58510 Shock Absorber and Coil Spring Assembly installed on the Rear
– Ongoing maintenance and repairs have been performed as needed.
