Description

This 1966 Ford Mustang fastback was acquired by the seller in June 2023 after a refurbishment was completed by the previous owner and includes tubbing the rear wheel wells, adding Shelby-style front facia, repainting the body, retrimming the interior, and installing a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 paired with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in green over gold and white upholstery, and additional equipment includes a Detroit Speed rear axle and suspension components, a Heidts front subframe, 17 Holley Legendary wheels with Nitto tires, power-assisted Wilwood disc brakes, power steering, Vintage Air climate control, a Lecarra steering wheel, and a Kenwood stereo. This modified Mustang is now offered with a clean Kentucky title in the seller’s name.
The body was stripped to bare metal, the rear wheel wells were tubbed, Shelby-style front facia was added, and the car was repainted in its current shade of Ivy Green Metallic in June 2023. Features include chrome bumpers, quarter window louvers, side mirrors, and a dual exhaust system with Dynomax mufflers.
The 17 Holley Legendary wheels wear Nitto 555R redline tires. Equipment and modifications reportedly include a Heidts front subframe, Detroit Speed rear axle mounted with a Panhard bar and trailing arms, power-assisted Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and JRI coilovers at all four corners.
The interior features front bucket seating and a rear bench reupholstered in gold vinyl with white inserts. Woodgrain trim lines the dashboard, and additional features include polished door sills, a floor-mounted shifter, Vintage Air climate control, vent windows, lap belts for all occupants, and a Kenwood stereo.
The leather-wrapped Lecarra steering wheel is mounted on a bright-finished tilting steering column and fronts a 140-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges displaying fuel level, oil pressure, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 700 miles since completion of the refurbishment
The 5.0-liter Coyote V8 was installed as part of the 2019 refurbishment and is equipped with tubular headers, an aluminum radiator, and an Aeromotive fuel system. The oil and coolant were changed within the last 100 miles, and an Optima Redtop battery is mounted in the trunk.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. The floors and underside were coated with red-oxide paint.
