1981 Mercedes s123/w123 S model is the station wagon. Very rare 240 diesel 4 cylinder non-turbo. Was bought by a military personnel in the Netherlands brand new in 1981 and was imported and owned until 2 years ago by the same family. This car has no computers in it, therefore it makes the perfect apocalypse car LOL this 240 engine is known to be the most reliable engine Mercedes has ever built, there is one in the Stuttgart Germany Mercedes Museum that has 8 million miles on it. Gertrude has 112,000 miles on her odometer and as far as I know that is the correct mileage. Automatic shifts great, valves were just adjusted and tires are in good shape. About a thousand miles on this oil change, I drive her to work at least three times a week if I’m not on my motorcycle. She has a lot of character and I get hunks and waves all the time. Sometimes when I come out of a grocery store people are gathered around it talking about the good old days LOL seriously, I get more attention driving this than I did in my convertible Miata. I would say that this car is a project car due to the fact that there still needs to be a little bit of tinkering done, it has dealer installed air conditioning and I just bought a new AC compressor but haven’t installed it yet, it’s winter you know. She’s not the fastest vehicle but she will definitely outlive your grandchildren. This ad will be taken down the moment she finds a new home. I am very careful of scams so don’t ask if the item is still for sale, I will know. She is titled licensed and insured in my name. I am the owner, I am the seller. For sale by owner.
Don’t forget to include your phone number or I can’t call you.
