bushings and lots of other parts. A adjustable cam gear has also been installed and can be seen in one of the pics.
I had to have my knee replaced and just had my 8th set of hand surgeries and have had to come to the realization that I cannot finish this car and want it to go to someone who can finish it and get it out in the public again.
These cars are extremely hard to find and especially with a nice complete interior and all the original Factory Shelby parts.
The car is rust free with the exception of the front floor pans. Every Dodge L body had a seam between the firewall and the front of the floor pan that leaked water and rusted the bottom of the pans out. People didn’t realize it because it was under the carpet. This car has some on both sides. He cut the rust out and welded new metal in there so that it is solid now.
I have not seen one on the road or even at a car show for at least 29 years.
This car is a really nice survivor.
The car is nice and straight. The paint is shiny but there are a number of door dings and such from sitting in a garage for 29 years and from the original 123k miles on the road. All the glass is clean and scratch and chip free and the weatherstripping is in great shape and soft and supple. I just installed a new headliner in it too.
The carpet is soiled but new custom molded carpet is available through American Custom carpet for about $200. and the interior just needs some elbow grease and will look like new.
New struts have been installed on all 4 corners and the original adjustable Koni struts are included.
The car is equipped with the optional rear hatch louvers and rear hatch electric release and new gas struts have been installed too.
It will not take much for someone with mechanical abilities to get this car finished and back on the road. Everything is there and with the factory shop manuals it should be easy to reassemble everything.
I have $4500 invested in this
project and am asking that much to try and get my money back.
I have a tow dolly and am willing to tow it up to 300 miles if someone buys it.
If you are looking to get into a 1980’s muscle car and a piece of history then this is for you. These cars have fantastic power to weight ratio with 225 HP and weighing only about 2200 lbs. They were outrunning and out handling Corvettes, Camaros, and Mustangs in it’s day.
I am not interested in any trades and low ballers and scammers please don’t waste my time.
If you have any questions or would like to come and check it out please give me a call or text.
I do have a clean Florida title on hand in my name.
