This is your chance for something truly special from Japan. Built for rally racing in the 80s, this Nissan March Super Turbo features an incredibly unique all aluminum 1 liter engine that produces 110 hp via creative use of a supercharger AND a turbocharger. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 5 speed manual transmission and limited slip differential. This car is 95% stock and 100% unique. Modifications include a period correct grounding kit, which essentially connects the grounding points on the electrical system together and was a very common modification in 90s Japan, and a set of OEM Nissan wheels painted white. The car has fully functional A/C and new tires, and extensive maintenance was done in Japan before this car was shipped over.
There were only 10,000 of these ever made, and all were sold in the domestic market for Japan. Your odds of running into another one in the wild here in the East Coast US is slim, and they aren’t getting easier to find. The interior is in excellent shape with all trim pieces and upholstery present. The exterior shows extremely well, with minor blemishes and scratches totally normal for a car this age. Original paint shows no swirls and the car was clearly garaged in it’s past life in Japan.
This powertrain was built to race, and, while quirky, is also very reliable. The famous car youtube channel Mighty Car Mods documented themselves traveling all over Japan in one of these in a feature length documentary film. The film has over 4.3M views on youtube, so you can definitely expect to get comments from people who know what this is. And even those who don’t know. A real head turner, this car stands out in the best way. And the sound it makes… you just have to hear it to believe it.
