The Cadillac DeVille is a luxury car manufactured by Cadillac, a division of General Motors. The DeVille model was produced from 1949 to 2005 and was the largest and most luxurious vehicle for most of its production life. The DeVille had several top competitors in the luxury car market, including the Lincoln Town Car, Buick LeSabre, Oldsmobile Delta 88, Chrysler New Yorker, Mercury Grand Marquis and Ford Crown Victoria. These cars were considered among the top luxury vehicles of their time and offered similar levels of style, comfort, and performance as the DeVille. Reliability of the Cadillac DeVille can vary depending on the specific model year and individual car. Generally, the later models of the DeVille, which were manufactured in the 1990s and 2000s, are considered to be more reliable than the earlier models from the 1950s to 1980s.
