I’m selling this vehicle “as is”. I had planned to repair it in order to resell it but it’s been sitting in my driveway for 9 months and I don’t have the time. A friend owned it for 8 years. Last September she was driving home and the oil light came on. She called a tow truck. The oil pump had failed and let the timing chain tensioner on the drivers side rub a hole in the valve cover from the inside out. A new oil pump is $50.00. The vehicle was serviced on a regular basis with full synthetic oil. In August she spent over $2,500.00 at Tire Kingdom for the oil change, 4 new Nitto tires, an alignment and a complete brake job. The a/c system was serviced and the belts were replaced at that time. Several months before that she installed new spark plugs and coil packs along with both camshaft timing valves and their sensors. The vehicle has 155,000 on it. I’m trying to recover the cost of the new tires and brake job so I’m asking $1,500.00. The title is in my name. If you’re a mechanic and can do the work yourself, call me at show contact info
. Please leave a message if I don’t answer. I don’t text, and I don’t e-mail. It can’t be driven until the oil pump has been replaced, it has to be towed. This vehicle will make someone a good reliable work truck. Thanks. Update: the vehicle is starting to rust on the top by the windshield. A mobile guy quoted me $300 to fix.
