This truck is loaded with options and buttons everywhere. 8 seats. 5.4L. Power windows, locks. Key fob. Hitch installed. Independent rear suspension. Back up sensors. All of the lights work. Tires were bought new. Plenty of tread left. Reason for selling is I got a diesel truck.
To shoot straight, yes obviously this SUV has some faults. No A/C, evaporator leaked. It has a misfire higher up in the rev range. Normal driving conditions it doesn’t show itself. Spark plugs and coil packs would fix it ($100 on Amazon. I got a pinhole leak in this little tee of a coolant line, changed it for $50… it’s leaking again. The radio has a 6 CD radio, plastic gears have problems so it clicks when you first get in the truck and doesn’t do it after that. Finally, the parking brake makes a little noise as you’re driving and has done so for many many miles.
These things just don’t interest me enough to fix. Yes, it’s a really concrete vehicle even with its mileage. It’s a ford, it’ll start up everyday. I’m being honest and upfront to weed out the people who want a $7,000 car for $2,000. This would be great for a first car if you are mechanically inclined and want to watch YouTube and take care of it. I’ve gone on road trips, 100 mile daily round trips to work, with the coil packs and $50 coolant fitting you have plenty of power and reliability. Anything you want to know, ask.
