The Dodge Grand Caravan is a family minivan passenger caravan manufactured by Chrysler and sold under its Dodge brand. The Caravan was introduced for the 1984 model year along with its variant, the Plymouth Voyager. Other variants of the Caravan include the the upscale Chrysler Town and Country and the Routan. Popular competitors have been the Honda Odyssey the Nissan Quest, and the Toyota Sienna, all popular Minivans. Chryslers minivans were ranked as the 13th bestselling minivans in the world. Minivans are often used for transporting large groups of people or by businesses for delivery services or moving cargo. The Caravan and its sister vehicles are treated and sold as separate vehicles, however, it is expected that the three will be combined in the near future and sold under a single nameplate; that is how similar these minivans compare.
