The Corvette has long been America’s sports car.  Faster, lighter, and lower to the ground, the Corvette has always outshined the pony cars including the Ford Mustang and sibling rival, Chevy Camaro.  The current generation Corvette upgraded from an amazing sports car to a mid-engined supercar.

Now Chevy has unleashed the track ready 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.  Purpose-built to dominate the track, its flat-plane V8 is capable of 670 horsepower making it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in production.  When mated onto the Corvette platform, you’re talking about 0 to 60 acceleration in just 2.6 seconds.

The Corvette Z06 is not a supercar.  It’s an American HyperCar!

Remember when Ford introduced the Mustang Shelby GT350 with the flat plane crank engine?  It sounded an amazing and was revolutionary for an American sports car.

Chevy’s engineers weren’t going to be left behind and created a flat-plane crank engine of their own with a redline of 8600 rpm.  That’s 2000 rpm higher than the standard Corvette Stingray.  The results are amazing.  And the sound is incredible.

SUPERB BRAKING

Of course, if you have nearly 700 horsepower in a Corvette chassis, you’d better be able to stop it fast.  A car this capable requires some serious braking ability, and its standard 6-piston front/4-piston rear brakes are designed to give you just that. Available carbon ceramic brakes provide state-of-the-art braking performance for track demands.

MAGNETIC RIDE CONTROL 4.0

This standard advanced damping system reads the road every millisecond and adapts in as little as 10 –15 milliseconds, giving you the confidence and control to push harder while staying planted to the asphalt.

8-SPEED DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION

When milliseconds count, you want a transmission with lightning-quick shifts. The 8-speed dual-clutch transmission is designed to provide just that. It combines the smoothness of an automatic with the action and control of a manual.

Become one with the car with this digital driving coach. Capture acceleration speed, braking, gear choice, sound and more in crisp 1080p, helping you improve lap times.

You can make no mistake.  From the performance to the looks, this Corvette has come a long way from those early 80s Corvettes that were still fun, but lacked in performance and overall quality.

The Corvette has grown up from a street poser to a world beater.
