NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The all-new, all-electric 2023 Nissan Ariya added another award to its trophy case after being named “Electric Vehicle of Texas” at the 2023 Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) Auto Roundup.

At the 2023 Auto Roundup, held March 27-28 at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas, automotive journalists and content creators evaluated vehicles and voted based on their interior, exterior, value, performance and overall personal appeal. Jurors evaluated vehicles within each model’s category and against the entire fleet of vehicles that participated in the Auto Roundup.

“We are honored to name the Nissan Ariya the Electric Vehicle of Texas,” said Teia Collier, TAWA president. “Ariya stood out from the competition and impressed our jurors with a combination of beautiful design, excellent capability, competitive pricing and generous space.”

This was only the second year for the Electric Vehicle of Texas award, which is one of four title awards at the TAWA Auto Roundup. TAWA launched the event now called the Auto Roundup in 2003 as a complement to its well-known annual Truck Rodeo.

The 2023 Nissan Ariya is Nissan’s first all-electric crossover and offers seamless and purposeful technology that integrates and elevates Ariya’s driving capabilities, with features including ProPILOT Assist 2.0 advanced driver assistance technology (available on select trims), standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Alexa integration. An EPA-estimated driving range of up to 304 miles1 in the Ariya Venture+ FWD caters to a variety of drivers’ needs.
