In addition to the amazing new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 coming this year, an electrified Corvette will be available as early as next year and a fully electric version to follow.

Don’t worry. Chevy isn’t shelving the V-8. You’ll still be able to get the V-8 All American roar that’s always been associated with the Chevy Corvette. You’ll just have a new, electrifying version that may actually be quicker off the line.

Of course, fully electric vehicles tend to come with substantial weight. Which version will be better on the track? Which will be more fun to through through tight corners? Only a side by side comparison will tell us which is better.

Nevertheless, we want to get our hands on what a hybridized Vette and pure electric will do on the track. Can’t wait to try it.
