NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The 2023 Nissan Z today was named “Best Sport Coupe” in the 2023 MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Awards. The awards, conducted annually for the last 42 years, evaluate vehicles from a buyer’s perspective and select winning models that align with the interests of automotive experts and consumers alike.

“A lot of car designs look to the past for inspiration, but none is a better effort of seamlessly blending modern performance with a classic styling theme than the Nissan Z, our MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice pick for Best Sport Coupe for 2023,” said John H. Davis, host and creator of MotorWeek. “In a world of shrinking sport coupe choices, Nissan didn’t have to make the new Z as great as it is, but we’re forever thankful they did.”

Building on more than 50 years of heritage, the 2023 Nissan Z raises the bar for the company’s iconic and accessible sports car. Designed to blend tradition with modern technology, the seventh-generation Nissan Z features classic sports car proportions outside and modern tech in a driver-centric cockpit, as well as a standard 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine with 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, backed by a choice of a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic transmission.

“We designed the 2023 Nissan Z, the latest generation of our iconic, world-class sports car, to deliver driving thrills to a new generation of passionate driving enthusiasts,” said Michael Colleran, senior vice president, Nissan U.S. Marketing and Sales. “We are honored that this focus on performance and excitement was recognized with a spot in the latest MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Awards.”

The 2023 Nissan Z is offered in two well-equipped models1, Sport and Performance, with a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)2 of $39,990.
