Texas dealer casts a wide net in community support, donating to eight local nonprofits.
The support from the Toyota of Rockwall dealer principals ranges far and wide, from rewarding exceptional teachers to senior citizen and court-appointed special advocates.
So it’s no surprise that, earlier this year, the Jacksons and Toyota of Rockwall stood out with a generous donations to eight local nonprofits.
Among the recipients of the octogifts was The Rainbow Room of Rockwall County, which provides essential items for children in crisis who are removed from their homes for their safety by the Department of Family and Protective Services caseworkers.
The Jacksons used the Toyota Dealer Match Program to double their donations to each group.
Dealer principals Steve and Barbara Jackson reiterated their devotion to supporting their community, including at-risk children and local schools.
“We appreciate our four surrounding school districts and enjoy shining a light on the accomplishments of outstanding teachers,” Barbara says. “It’s one of the most exciting and rewarding things we do each year.”
Of course, the Rainbow Room — an actual room with emergency supplies for children —was just one organization to benefit from the Jacksons’ generosity. The others were:
- Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County
- Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)
- One Man’s Treasure, Rockwall
- Veterans Outpost,
- Rockwall Community Playhouse
- LightHouse for New Hope
- Friends of the Rockwall County Library, $2,000.
For the Jacksons, giving back is just the natural thing to do.
We love to support local charities,” Barbara says. “And we have had a fantastic response from our community.”
